Background :The TCR V alpha 24-J alpha 18 (Vα24-Jα18) rearrangement encodes the invariant T cell receptor alpha chain of invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells. iNKT cells recognize glycolipid antigens presented by CD1d and rapidly produce cytokines, bridging innate and adaptive immunity in anti-tumor, anti-infection and autoimmune responses.
