Background :Phospho-serine/threonine is a post-translational modification in which phosphate groups are reversibly added to serine or threonine residues by protein kinases and removed by phosphatases. This modification is a fundamental mechanism of cellular signal transduction, regulating enzyme activity, protein-protein interactions, subcellular localization and many signaling pathways.
