Background :E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins including CTNNB1, FOXA2 and AKT1 . Involved in chromosome segregation and cell cycle regulation . May play a role in the acrosome reaction and fertilization. Inhibits lung fibroblast proliferation, migration, and differentiation. Mechanistically, mediates 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitination of phospho-AKT1, leading to its proteasomal degradation and consequent inhibition of AKT signaling . Promotes apoptosis via inhibition of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway . Regulates ferroptosis by ubiquitinating and degrading FOXA2
