Background :C-X-C motif chemokine 17: Chemokine that acts as a chemoattractant for monocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells, and which is involved in immune regulation and lymphocyte trafficking . Activates the C-X-C chemokine receptor GPR25 . Plays a key role in lymphocyte homing by activating the receptor GPR25 on lymphocytes, mediating lymphocyte recruitment into the respiratory, upper gastrointestinal, biliary and genito-urinary tracts . Plays a role in angiogenesis and possibly in the development of tumors . Acts as an anti-inflammatory in the stomach . May play a role in the innate defense against infections
