Background :Alpha-2Db adrenergic receptor: Alpha-2 adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine-induced inhibition of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. The order of potency for this receptor is dexmedetomidine > norepinephrine = epinephrine > oxymetazoline
