Background :MTMR14 (myotubularin-related protein 14, also known as Jumpy) is a phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphatase that dephosphorylates phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and phosphatidylinositol (3,5)-bisphosphate. It regulates autophagy and endosomal trafficking and is implicated in skeletal muscle function; mutations have been linked to centronuclear myopathy.
