Background :Phosphoglucomutase-like protein 5: Component of adherens-type cell-cell and cell-matrix junctions . Positively regulates maturation and alignment of myofibrils, also promotes organization of sarcomeres (By similarity). Has no phosphoglucomutase activity in vitro
