Background :N-alpha-acetyltransferase 30: Catalytic subunit of the N-terminal acetyltransferase C (NatC) complex . Catalyzes acetylation of the N-terminal methionine residues of peptides beginning with Met-Leu-Ala and Met-Leu-Gly . N-terminal acetylation protects proteins from ubiquitination and degradation by the N-end rule pathway . Necessary for the lysosomal localization and function of ARL8B sugeesting that ARL8B is a NatC substrate

Western blot analysis of JAK2 (Phospho-Y570) expression in HeLa (A), TF1 (B), rat kidney (C) whole cell lysates.

Immunohistochemical analysis of JAK2 (Phospho-Y570) staining in human brain formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
