Background :Dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide--protein glycosyltransferase subunit KCP2: Subunit of STT3A-containing oligosaccharyl transferase (OST-A) complex that catalyzes the initial transfer of a defined glycan (Glc(3)Man(9)GlcNAc(2) in eukaryotes) from the lipid carrier dolichol-pyrophosphate to an asparagine residue within an Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif in nascent polypeptide chains, the first step in protein N-glycosylation . N-glycosylation occurs cotranslationally and the complex associates with the Sec61 complex at the channel-forming translocon complex that mediates protein translocation across the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) . Within the OST-A complex, acts as an adapter that anchors the OST-A complex to the Sec61 complex . May be involved in N-glycosylation of APP (amyloid-beta precursor protein) . Can modulate gamma-secretase cleavage of APP by enhancing endoprotelysis of PSEN1

Western blot analysis of Annexin A1 (Phospho-Y21) expression in H1792 (A), mouse lung (B), rat lung (C) whole cell lysates.

Immunohistochemical analysis of Annexin A1 (Phospho-Y21) staining in human lung cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
