Background :Cilia- and flagella-associated protein 100: Microtubule-associated protein that promotes microtubule polymerization and regulates microtubule organization . Plays a critical role in ensuring proper epidermal development and function by regulating mitosis in keratinocytes . Maintains spindle pole integrity during keratinocyte division through the recruitment of the microtubule glutamylase TTLL13 to spindle poles, thereby enhancing localized microtubule glutamylation . This modification stabilizes spindle microtubules, ensuring accurate spindle assembly, faithful chromosome segregation, and efficient mitotic progression . May play a role in ciliary/flagellar motility by regulating the assembly and the activity of axonemal inner dynein arm
