Product Name :TDRD9 polyclonal antibody
Reactivity :Human,Mouse,Rat
Application_all :WB,1:500 - 1:1000
Background :ATP-binding RNA helicase required during spermatogenesis. Required to repress transposable elements and prevent their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity. Acts via the piRNA metabolic process, which mediates the repression of transposable elements during meiosis by forming complexes composed of piRNAs and Piwi proteins and governs the methylation and subsequent repression of transposons. Acts downstream of piRNA biogenesis: exclusively required for transposon silencing in the nucleus, suggesting that it acts as a nuclear effector in the nucleus together with PIWIL4.
Product :1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
Purification&Purity :The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage&Stability :Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity :TDRD9 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of TDRD9 protein.
Note :For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Name :C14orf75; Putative ATP-dependent RNA helicase TDRD9; Tudor domain-containing protein 9
Immunogen :KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human TDRD9.
